Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you browse AfricaMart, create an account or place an order for delivery. Last updated 18 July 2026.

Please read before ordering

By submitting an order, you agree to these terms and confirm that the delivery and contact information provided is accurate.

1. About AfricaMart and these terms

“AfricaMart”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the legal business operating the AfricaMart online grocery service. “You” and “your” refer to the customer.

Required before launch

Insert the operator's full legal name, legal form or company number where applicable, and a valid geographical postal address here. UK online sellers must give customers the trader's identity, contact details and address before a contract is made.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a contract to place an order.

2. Products, descriptions and availability

We take reasonable care to display product names, pack sizes, images, ingredients and other information accurately. Packaging and appearance can change, and images are illustrative. Read the label supplied with the product, especially for allergens, storage and preparation instructions.

All products are subject to availability. Stock can change after an order is placed and before warehouse picking. AfricaMart does not make automatic substitutions. An unavailable item is refunded to the original payment method.

3. Prices, discounts and delivery charges

  • The minimum product order is £40 after discounts and before delivery, with at least 3 items in the basket.
  • Standard delivery is £5.99.
  • Delivery is free when the product total reaches £80 after discounts.
  • The delivery charge does not count towards the £40 minimum or £80 free-delivery threshold.

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. We may correct obvious pricing errors before accepting an order. Voucher and discount conditions will be shown when offered.

4. Placing an order and payment

Your order is an offer to buy the listed products. An automated acknowledgement only confirms that we received it. A contract is formed when AfricaMart accepts the order and confirms it for fulfilment.

Payment must be authorised using an available checkout method. We may refuse or cancel an order where payment is not authorised, information appears incorrect, products are unavailable, the address is outside coverage, fraud or misuse is suspected, or fulfilling the order would be unlawful.

When we cancel an order after payment, amounts due back will be returned to the original payment method.

5. Delivery

Delivery is available only to supported postcodes and dates shown at checkout. See Delivery Information for the current schedule. Coverage, dates and route capacity may change.

You are responsible for providing a complete address, postcode, access information and contact mobile. Someone must be available to receive chilled, frozen and perishable goods and store them correctly.

If delivery cannot be completed because of customer unavailability, an incorrect address or inaccessible premises, redelivery is not guaranteed and an additional reasonable charge may apply.

6. Cancellations, returns and refunds

Contact support promptly to request cancellation. We cannot guarantee changes or cancellation after warehouse picking has started.

The usual distance-selling cancellation right does not apply to every grocery product. Exceptions can include goods that deteriorate or expire rapidly and sealed goods unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed. Eligible non-perishable products may have statutory cancellation rights.

Faulty, damaged, unsafe, missing or misdescribed goods remain covered by consumer law. See Refunds & Returns for the reporting process. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

7. Accounts and acceptable website use

Accounts are optional. You are responsible for keeping sign-in details secure and for activity performed through the account. Tell us promptly when you suspect unauthorised access.

You must not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape the service excessively or use it for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.

8. Our responsibility

We do not exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or breach of statutory consumer rights.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made, or for business losses where you purchase as a consumer. Website access can occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, security or events outside reasonable control.

9. Changes, governing law and contact

We may update these terms for legal, operational or service changes. The terms shown when an order is placed apply to that order unless a change is required by law.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without removing any mandatory consumer protection available in the part of the UK where you live.
